A holiday gift guide for the travel lover in your life

A holiday gift guide for the travel lover in your life

Mmm… do you smell that?

Chestnuts are roasting over open fires… Jack Frost is nipping at your nose…

That’s right people, it’s finally (FINALLY!) the holidays again!

But this is no shock to you. I mean… you’ve already done your holiday shopping and your yard is full of inflatable snowmen and lights, right?

*crickets*

Ooooh... that’s probably how you wound up here.

Well, I can’t help you decorate your yard (maybe if you bribe me with homemade sugar cookies) but I can help with the gift part.

Especially if you’re needing gift ideas for the travel lover on your list.

Sensible, packable and with my travel stamp of approval – I dare you not to buy them for yourself (but I’m not here to judge).

My 2017 review and goals for 2018

My 2017 review and goals for 2018

It’s that time of year again!

Yes... when it’s two weeks into January and I’m finally getting around to reviewing my last year – the good, the bad, and the… needs-major-improvement. 😁

(Cuz nothing is actually ugly – it's all just a learning experience. Right?)

As I did in my 2016 review, I’m looking back on my 2017 business year by answering the following questions:

  • What did I do well last year?

  • What didn’t I do so well last year?

  • What am I working towards this year?

  • What is this year's theme?

Kick back, relax and let’s do this! ☕️

Why a digital nomad retreat is a game-changer for any freelancer

Why a digital nomad retreat is a game-changer for any freelancer

It was my first time, but surely – not my last time.

I’ve been in the freelancer world since 2013, and the digital nomad world since 2014.

And in all that time, I had never experienced a “digital nomad retreat.”

I mean, I've worked from some amazing co-working spaces in Nicaragua, Portugal and Australia.

But never had I joined in on a retreat – where all details are planned and taken care of for you.

So what is a digital nomad retreat, exactly?

I liken it to an all-inclusive resort.

Digital Nomad vs. Travelpreneur vs. Freelancer vs. Entrepreneur

Digital Nomad vs. Travelpreneur vs. Freelancer vs. Entrepreneur

We all hear these terms thrown around. It begs the question:

What's the diff?

I didn't know for a long time. And that's probably why I'd stare blankly back when someone would ask how my freelancing/consulting/"remote work life" was going.

I didn't know which category I fell under. (And at that time, it didn't really matter.)

I've had a couple years to marinate on these terms and so today, here's my best interpretation of them.
