A holiday gift guide for the travel lover in your life

A holiday gift guide for the travel lover in your life

Mmm… do you smell that?

Chestnuts are roasting over open fires… Jack Frost is nipping at your nose…

That’s right people, it’s finally (FINALLY!) the holidays again!

But this is no shock to you. I mean… you’ve already done your holiday shopping and your yard is full of inflatable snowmen and lights, right?

*crickets*

Ooooh... that’s probably how you wound up here.

Well, I can’t help you decorate your yard (maybe if you bribe me with homemade sugar cookies) but I can help with the gift part.

Especially if you’re needing gift ideas for the travel lover on your list.

Sensible, packable and with my travel stamp of approval – I dare you not to buy them for yourself (but I’m not here to judge).

Why a digital nomad retreat is a game-changer for any freelancer

Why a digital nomad retreat is a game-changer for any freelancer

It was my first time, but surely – not my last time.

I’ve been in the freelancer world since 2013, and the digital nomad world since 2014.

And in all that time, I had never experienced a “digital nomad retreat.”

I mean, I've worked from some amazing co-working spaces in Nicaragua, Portugal and Australia.

But never had I joined in on a retreat – where all details are planned and taken care of for you.

So what is a digital nomad retreat, exactly?

I liken it to an all-inclusive resort.

Gift ideas for entrepreneurs and digital nomads

Gift ideas for entrepreneurs and digital nomads

If you're like me, you've left your gift shopping to the very. last. minute.

But if you're here, seeking inspiration, it means you're lucky enough to keep company with someone who's either a full-fledged or an aspiring entrepreneur. Even better, they love to travel (this person sounds awesome).

Since I'm home right now for the holidays, I'd like to show you all the tools and devices I use to run a business while traveling – and hopefully spark a few gift-giving ideas for you.

Take a look!

5 myths of being a travelpreneur

5 myths of being a travelpreneur

Myth #1: You're paid to travel.

I get asked this question a lot.

"How do you get paid to travel?"

The short answer is I don't.

No one is sending me cheques for booking flights, trekking across the world and checking into Airbnbs 😂  – though that would be fabulous.

I'm not a travel blogger who's sponsored by brands.

I don't rely on corporate sponsorship to fund my travels.

Some travel bloggers make an excellent living doing this. I'm not saying they aren't a travelpreneur in that sense, it's just that – it's not how I do it.
